Stephen Weiss
General Manager, Photographer, Instructor, & Photography tour leader
Stephen has over 50 years experience as a photographer. He's worked locally with major league sports franchises (NHL - St. Louis Blue, MLB-Cardinals, NASCAR/Indy Car/NHRA - Gateway Motor Sports), several international and nationally branded businesses (Gucci, Cristal Advertising, Coca-Cola, Charter Communications, Edward Jones Investment) and local government agencies (St. Louis County Hazmat).
He has travelled extensively throughout Europe (France, the Netherlands, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Greece, Iceland), Latin America/the Caribbean (Cuba, Columbia, Costa Rica) and Asia (Japan).
His specific areas of interest include landscape, street/urban, portraiture, nature and night (Milky Way) photography. He’s also well versed sports, food, product, real estate, fashion, PR photos, studio/flash photography and much more.
Derek Leath
Photographer, Adjunct Instructor
Derek has over 50+ years of knowledge and experience in both film and digital photography. He is expert in black & white film development and image processing and Leica camera’s (He’s our resident Leica guru). He’s an avid collector of vintage film cameras and manual focus lenses (He’s amassed a collection of 100+ camera’s and lenses). His photographic interest and expertise include landscape, street/urban, portraiture and nature photography.
Gregg Carter
Photographer, Adjunct Instructor
Gregg began his study of photography over 20+ years ago as a way to reconnect to his earlier art interests. His favorite genres are landscape, nature, macro and urban / street photography. He likes to dabble in film photography and processing as well. He enjoys going on a good walk with his camera every opportunity he can.
Jorge Restrepo
Photographer, Adjunct Instructor
Jorge is an avid photographer, always exploring new places, things, or concepts to photograph. He started his photographic journey in 2012 when his son decided to play baseball in first grade. He wanted to capture and preserve the events of his children’s life. Since then, his photographic pursuits have led him to venture into other photographic genres such as portraiture, landscapes, street and travel photography. He enjoys exploring the world with his camera and capturing fleeting moments, whether it's the people, or an interesting door, wide panoramas or a small detail.
